Father’s Day Whiskey Tasting Set

We’re celebrating Father’s Day with this special glass set that will elevate your whiskey to new heights.

The Peugeot whiskey glass is perfect for beginners and connoisseurs alike, as it heightens your drinking experience through design and technique.

The Les Impitoyables Whiskey Tasting Set is ideal for anyone who appreciates whiskey, liquor, cocktails, and more.

The specially shaped glass reveals the qualities and subtleties of whiskey, cognac, scotch, brandy, Armagnac’s, and more while cutting down on the alcohol vapors.

It comes paired with a metal chilling base and a branded Peugeot coaster so you can savor a single malt as it was meant to be enjoyed.

No ice needed – enjoy it neat! Keep the chilling base in the freezer for a few hours until frozen then place on the coaster to prevent condensation rings. Set the glass over the base and pour the spirit without covering the dome. Wait for 2-3 minutes. The whiskey is now at the perfect temperature, yet not watered down—for an even more authentic flavor!

So raise your glass high this Father’s Day…and cheers!

Available in store only.

3 Types of Interior Lighting Design

Interior Lighting Design

Lighting is one of the most important design elements in your home, setting the mood and creating a sense of space.

There are usually three types of lighting referred to in interior design: general lighting, task lighting and accent lighting.

General Lighting

General lighting is used throughout the room and provides overall illumination for those who are simply moving around the room without completing any tasks at one time or another. General lighting can be achieved with recessed ceiling lights or track lights around your perimeter walls so they don’t take up valuable real estate on your floor plans either!

Task Lighting

This type of light will provide illumination in areas where you might need to complete a specific task such as reading a book or working on a project. This can be accomplished with spotlights or recessed ceiling lights.

Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is used to highlight certain features of your room such as artwork or architectural details. This type of lighting should be used sparingly to avoid making the room look too busy or cluttered.

You’ll want to take into account your budget and the style of your home when choosing interior design lighting essentials. We have made this process easy for you.

8 Steps To Spring Cleaning Organization

Spring is the perfect time to clean out your cabinets and pantry. It’s a great way to refresh your home and start fresh, but it can also be overwhelming if you don’t know where to start.

Here are 8 steps to help you clear out the clutter and get organized!

1. Set Pantry Goals

What do you want from your pantry? Do you want to make it more functional, or more beautiful? Do you want to be able to find things quickly, or do you just want to be able to close the door on all that mess? You might have different goals for each area of your kitchen, so think about what’s important in each area before starting.

2. Take Inventory

Now that you know what you want from your pantry, take inventory of what’s currently in there. Are there any foods that expired last month? Is there anything moldy? If so, throw it away immediately! Then check expiration dates on everything else—you may want to donate items past their prime if they’re still in good condition.

3. Declutter

Once expired items are out of the way, it’s time for some serious decluttering! Get rid of all those old cans and jars and clear off your shelves so that nothing gets lost behind other items (and so that nothing gets lost behind them).

4. Organize

Organize all of your items into categories—food, cleaning supplies, cookware, etc.—and make sure all the items are neatly organized in their bins or drawers.

5. Find Your Flow

Know where you want things to go, and if possible, make sure things are arranged in an order that makes sense. For example, canned goods could go on one shelf and dry goods on another—you get the idea.

6. Organize with Containers and Baskets

It’s not enough to just throw things into the pantry—you want them organized so that you can see what you have and make sure it’s all in good shape.

7. Label Items

Label items with expiration dates and other important info (like allergens). This is especially important if you have kids who might eat from the pantry without your supervision.

8. Stock Your Shelves

Put your items back on your shelves in a visually pleasing way (arranging them by color or size or shape can be helpful). This will make them easy to find when you need them.

How to Style Spring Decor In Your Home

Spring is in the air! And if you’re like us, your first instinct is to go in and redecorate your house. We’re here to help!

1. Go light—literally

It’s springtime, so it’s time to go light: not just light on the flowers and plants (although those can be great additions), but also with your use of color. Opt for lighter hues throughout your home: pale yellows, blues, greens, oranges, and pinks for the walls. Not only does this give a springtime vibe to the room, but it also makes the room feel open and warm. If you want some contrast, try using darker accents like pillows or rugs that bring out some of the colors you’ve used elsewhere in the room.

2. Bring it back to nature

One of the best ways to add a feeling of springtime into any room is by bringing in more natural elements. This doesn’t mean you have to haul a bunch of rocks and sticks into your living room (although that could work!), but instead look for things like wicker furniture or other pieces designed to mimic natural materials (like wood). These pieces will give any room an earthy feeling that automatically reminds people of springtime.

3. Keep it colorful

There’s no better time than spring to embrace color! Pick a color palette and stick with it when shopping for seasonal décor. Or mix things up by choosing a few different colors that match each other.

4. Focus on flowers

To really bring in the feeling of spring, surround yourself with flowers! Whether they’re real or fake, adding flowers to your space will instantly make it feel more lively. From delicate bouquets to big arrangements on tables, you can’t go wrong with flowers!

5. Add texture

Try finding patterns that match your initial decor to tie together the different areas of your house. Don’t be afraid to mix and match! Accentuate different parts of a room with different colors or patterns.

Tips to Live Through Your Renovation

Renovating your home is a big deal.  Living in a home that’s undergoing renovations can be stressful and overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! There are simple things you can do to make the process easier.

Make Some Simple Plans

If you haven’t already, now’s the time to sit down with your family and talk about what parts of the house will be off-limits, where people will sleep, and how you’ll handle things like meals and personal hygiene (hello, homemade outdoor shower).

Be Prepared For Delays

It’s rare for a renovation project to go perfectly according to plan; usually there are a few delays along the way. Make sure you’ve talked with your contractor about how those will be handled (and trust us, this is one area where it pays to have a good relationship with your contractor). You should also write down any questions or concerns that come up as work progresses.

Be Flexible

Even if you’ve made some solid plans for how you’ll live through your renovation. Making the most of any situation is always possible if you approach it with a sense of humor. Try to find ways to laugh at the inevitable setbacks—the more fun you have, the easier time you’ll have getting through it!

5 Tips for Hosting an Easter Day Brunch

Hosting an Easter brunch is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. Brunch time gives your guests a chance to spend the morning hunting for Easter eggs and spending time with their family before visiting your home for the meal. And a brunch menu provides the best combination of savory and sweet dishes to satisfy all of your guests. But hosting an Easter brunch will require a little planning and preparation. These five simple tips will help you host an amazing Easter brunch:

1. Make sure you have enough space

Since it’s likely that you’ll be hosting more guests than usual, make sure you have enough seating and space for everyone. If you don’t have enough chairs, consider renting or borrowing some extra folding chairs or benches. You could even create a more casual dining experience by setting up some picnic tables outside (just make sure to check the weather forecast so you know how many people you’ll be able to accommodate outside).

2. Plan some kid-friendly activities

Easter is all about fun for kids, so make sure you plan some activities that are suitable for all ages. You can hide plastic eggs around your backyard and send your younger guests on an egg hunt while they wait for the rest of your guests to arrive.

3. Plan the menu

Avoid making overly complicated recipes or dishes with a lot of ingredients. You want to spend time with your family and guests, not in the kitchen. A brunch menu is best when you have a few dishes that are easy to make and easy to eat. It’s important to plan the menu for your Easter brunch in advance. This will ensure that you have all of the ingredients and supplies you need, and avoid any last-minute trips to the store. It’s also smart to plan a menu that includes both sweet and savory dishes, so that all of your guests will be able to find something they like. And don’t forget coffee, tea, juice, and water!

4. Decorate

It’s fun to decorate your home for Easter, but it can also be stressful if you try to do it right before guests arrive. Set aside some time in advance of your brunch to set up decorations around your home. You can make or buy decorations in advance so that they’re ready when you need them. And make sure you put away any non-holiday clutter before decorating! Easter is all about eggs, rabbits, bunnies and spring flowers blooming everywhere. So decorate your home with a few flowers around the room for some color and add some Easter-themed table decorations for a festive touch.

5. Set the table

Setting the table ahead of time will ensure that everything is ready when your guests arrive. Place name cards at each spot so that people know where to sit. And consider using spring flowers as a centerpiece for an extra touch of seasonal beauty! Bonus Tip: Create an atmosphere of fun: The environment in which people eat can have just as much impact on their experience as the food itself.
